Hello Dr. Rozbruch,

I want you to know how having the reconstructive surgery has changed my entire life and the lives of those around me. Before the surgery, I had never been able to do the things I wanted to, and as my legs grew worse, it affected my self-esteem. I’ve never had the confidence to interview for jobs I wanted; I never had the confidence to call realtors because I knew I would have to meet with them at some point and my gait would be noticed or engage in relationships. I always wore long dresses and clothes that would pass my knees, but that wasn’t my personality. I lived in a shell for many years.
I need to tell you that you changed my life two and a half years ago with your tremendous gift and magic hands. You gave me back my life and the self-esteem I was born with. I am so thankful that you were created! I have since received my RN degree and obtained a high-profile job because of the confidence the surgery has given me. It continues to grow, and I continue to conquer feats each day. I’ve now been able to enter rooms I would have never been able to due to my emotional restrictions. I’ve also been able to search for my dream home. I would have never had the confidence before, all because of my genu valgus condition. It sounds silly, but it held me back in many areas of my life. Even walking to the store was an issue for me. I drove even close distances. I can buy and wear any dress attire without feeling insecure. It’s incredible what the surgery has done for my life. The fact that I can be more productive because of my newfound confidence has impacted not only me but my family’s future. I thank you. I wish you well and continue what you do. You are indeed an angel and an asset to the medical profession.
